Anne DEROUARD was awarded a Master in Musicology at the Sorbonne, a Gold Medal and Diplôme d’Etudes at the Conservatoire in Nice, in the class of Elizabeth Vidal, was invited, by Dalton Baldwin, to join the International Academy in Villecroze, and was also awarded a bursary for the Bayreuth Festival.
She honed her skills for 3 years at the Moscow Conservatoire, before she met her American coach, Neil Semer, who helped her voice to find its full potential.
Her talents were rewarded by several prizes : Prix du Concours des Maîtres du Chant Français, Prix du Public and 3rd Prize at the International Competition of the Médoc, Finalist in the Bolshoi Competition, Prix du Public and 1st Prize in the Competition at the Opera in Bordeaux, and Special Prize and 1st Prize in the Musicales du Centre Competition.
From then on her career moved forward, she was chosen as soloist in numerous oratorios, Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Solemn Vespers for a Confessor, Pergolese’s Stabat Mater, Rossini’s Little Solemn Mass, Bach’s Magnificat, Zeisl’s Hebrew Requiem…in various famous venues in both France and abroad (Germany, Ukraine, Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania, Italy….).
Her first appearances in opera were very well received, Cosi fan Tutte by Mozart, conducted by Olivier Holt, then she was given the title role in Verdi’s Aïda, in Ukraine, conducted by E.Deleu, and sang the role of Brunnhilde in Wagner’s Walkyrie, conducted by Alexandre Myrat.
She was invited to the Philharmonia in Berlin to sing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, conducted by Seitaro Hishikawa, and sang in several productions throughout France : Rossini’s Barber of Seville with the Opéra Nomade and at the Opera in Clermont-Ferrand, and the title-rôle in The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein by Offenbach, all praised by the music press and well received by the public.
More recently she has been invited, by the Nuremberg Opera, to sing Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, conducted by Joana Mallwitz, and by the Erfurt Opera, for one of her great Wagnerian début rôles as the redoubtable Ortrud in Lohengrin, conducted by Myron Michailidis, which brought her an enthusiastic reception from both the German public and the music press.
The Erfurt Opera gave her the superb title role in Tchaikovsky’s Orleanskaya Deva (The Maid of Orleans) for the Domstufen Festival in 2021.
The Malmö Opera in Sweden has just offered her the wonderful title rôle in Puccini’s Turandot for the season 2023-2024.
In 2022 and 2023, she will be singing in several venues, such as Les Théophanies in Rieux-Minervois, on tour with l’Orchestre d’Auvergne, and at the Opera in Clermont Ferrand, in collaboration with the Beaubourg Centre in Paris.
Anne Derouard’s exceptional vocal range and her talents as an actress, enable her to embrace the great repertoires of France, Germany, and Italy, , but she is equally at home with the lighter works from Offenbach or Oscar Strauss or even the jazz standards.
Simon de GLINIASTY
Simon de GLINIASTY studied singing at the Conservatoire in Paris in the young singer’s class run by Laurence Equilbey.
Later, he went on to sing solo, as well as the Baroque repertoire with the Opéra-Studio in Geneva, and the bel canto repertoire with Eisabeth Vidal’s ensemble Opéraction.
The warm range range of his baritone-bass enabled him to take the role of Escamillo in Carmen and that of Nilakantha in Lakmé with the Opéra Bastide company in Bordeaux. In 2009 he appeared, in the principal rôle, in the film-opera “Surgir”, directed by Grégoire Letouvet, alongside Vincent de Texier. The film was nominated at the Locarno Festival.
In 2011, the Charles Cros Academy awarded him with a Coup de Coeur for his CD “Archipel des Solitutides” in which he sings the eponymous lieder of François Leclère.
His knowledge of the opera repertoire of the 20th Century has recently led him to the rôles of Wesener and Mary in “Die Soldaten von Bern” conducted by Aloïs Zimmerman with the ensemble Les Rugissants, and Alaouddin in Padmâvâti by Albert Roussel conducted by Marc Trautmann.
Russian by birth, he regularly performs, on his recital tours, melodies from Rachmaninov, Mussorgski and Tchaikovsky, and is planning soon to record a second CD of contemporary songs to be released by Rejoyce Musique.
Natalia MEDVEDEVA, piano
Of Russian origin, she began to study piano at a very young age.With a Diploma from Art College in 1992, she went on to study at the Conservatoire Supérieure in Volgograd from 1996 to 2001.
In France, she enrolled in the Sixième Exécution in Piano course at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, in the class of Germaine Mounier. At the same time she was awarded a Special Teaching Diploma in “The Art of the Recital” at the University of Paris, Sorbonne Nouvelle, specializing in the songs and lieder of several European languages.
In 2006 she was awarded her Diplôme Supérieur in Chamber Music at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris.
Since 2007, she has concentrated on teaching and accompaniment at the Conservatoire in Montrouge and at the Schola Cantorum. She has accompanied the courses and masterclasses of numerous musicians and teachers : Jean-Pierre Blivet, Nadine Denize, Walter Kussner, Wilfried Strehle, Matthias Buchholz and Garfield Jackson.
She has performed regularly in Chamber Music, notably playing at the Classique au Vert festival at the Parc Floral in Paris, at the Théâtre de Fontainebleau, at the Festival des Grands Crus de Bourgogne, at the Imuse d’Eenghien Festival in Belgium, and in numerous concert halls in France and abroad.
Award–winner at the Amsterdam International Competition, she has founded, with the soprano Mélanie Gardyn, the Ensemble Triptikh ; they have just released a CD based on the music of famous films, called “The Big Screen”, and this follows a highly successful series of concerts.
