" It is the uncertainty that charms one. A mist makes things wonderful "

" Yakaira, in the Guarani mythology of the ancient peoples of South America, is the master of mist and fog. He played a part in the creation of the Earth along with the god Namandu "

Le Duo Yakaira was founded by two friends who were both musicians at the Conservatoire de Toulouse and who wanted to create an original connection between the power of the piano and the electrifying blast of the accordion. They are now proposing a programme which offers an escape to those far-away countries, where the intoxicating rhythm of the Argentinian tango holds sway, playing some of Astor Piazzolia’s  key works : Oblivion, History of the tango,Libertango, Milonga de las palabras, Fracanapa and other sublime melodies.

started to play the accordion when he was only six year’s old, with Natalie Masson. In 2008, he began his musical studies at the Conservatoire Régional in Toulouse in the class of Guy Ferla. It was here that he came into contact with some famous musicians, in courses and Master Classes, such as Jean-Marc Maronni, Sébastien Farge, Pascal Contet and also André Zarate, with whom he continued his apprenticeship.

He was awarded First Prize in Accordion at the Conservatoire de Toulouse in 2015, and he went on to attend the classes of Max Bonnay and Anthony Millet at the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris. It was here that he obtained his Diplome National First Class and his Masters First Class with Honours.

He performs regularly, as a soloist, with fellow musicians and actors.
